Synopsis
Inspired by Stanisław Lem’s Solaris, the film consists of excerpts from 70 films produced by the Educational Film Studio in Łódź in the 1960s and the first radio adaptations of Solaris. A trance-like, personal story about loss, mourning and memory.
Biography
Kuba Mikurda – film director & film scholar. He has worked as a film critic, journalist and publisher. Director of the awarded feature-length documentaries: Love Express. The Disappearance of Walerian Borowczyk (2018) and Escape to the Silver Globe (2021). He teaches at the Film School in Łódź & hosts the podcast „Director’s Cut”.
